Privacy Policy

GreenTag ("we", "us", "our") builds inspection-readiness software for contractors, builders, project managers, and owner-builders. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email, company, role, and password hash you provide at sign-up.
• Project data — projects, inspections, checklist items, correction notices, tasks, photos, and documents you upload.
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, device and browser metadata, and diagnostic logs.
• Communication data — messages you send to support and content you submit via lead forms.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate the GreenTag platform and features you request.
• Generate AI checklist recommendations, readiness scores, and inspection packets using your project content.
• Secure the service — authentication, audit logs, abuse prevention.
• Communicate with you about product updates, billing, and support.
• Improve product quality using aggregated, de-identified usage metrics.

3. AI processing

When you use AI features, the relevant plans, checklist items, and jurisdiction rules are sent to our AI providers to generate a response. We do not sell your project data, and we do not use your uploaded content to train third-party foundation models.

4. Sharing

We share data only with:

• Members of your company workspace and people you explicitly invite.
• Infrastructure sub-processors (hosting, database, storage, email, AI providers) under written contract.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Security

GreenTag applies row-level security to all customer records, encrypts data in transit with TLS, and encrypts at rest. Access to production data is restricted and audited. Report suspected vulnerabilities to security@greentag.app.

6. Retention

We retain project data for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, project data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data at any time from Settings, or by contacting us. Depending on your jurisdiction you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws.

8. Children

GreenTag is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

We will post any material changes to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
